"He who dares, Ledders..."

After Tottenham's 2-0 win at Brum on Saturday, and Chelsea's typically-tantrum-ridden 1-0 defeat at Fulham yesterday, the position is this: if we win all eight of our remaining games, and Chelsea lose all theirs, the Premiership title could be ours by one point.
"Dream on?"
Oh, ye of little faith...
Game on.

I don't know about you, but I'm off to Ladbrokes right now. A £5.00 investment should be enough to retire on.

Yeah I am thinking the sam ething about the mighty Geordie's gallant battle with Chelsea this Wednesday. I would actually give up almost anything for the pleasure of seeing Alan Shearer winning the FA Cup in his last season. The man is a legend and he bloody deserves it. I find it hard to think of another player of his calibre who has been so short of silverware in his career...

I suppose that's true. Though he did win a Premiership title with Blackburn, and could have easily won oodles with Manchester United had he so chosen. Plus he scored twice in extra-time, once from the stupidest of penalties, to obliterate Spurs' FA Cup dream in 1999, so I struggle to be too sympathetic, I'm afraid...!
Though probably my most notable claim to, er, the minor-est of minor fame (other than once playing instruments made out of cardboard on the Wide Awake Club), is helping to write his autobiography.
Though perhaps more impressive and rare is the fact I managed to read all the way through it as well...

Also - how about Sir Les?
Just the one Worthington Cup and a Turkish league title to his name?
Though, then again, if he'd managed to put away at least one of his million-or-so easy chances in Cardiff in 2002 instead of hitting the Jumbotron every time, he might have just doubled his League Cup trophy tally and spared thousands of us the most miserable of long journeys home, several years of re-enacted chances in dreams, and Glenn Ghoddle his reputation and his job...
What ifs, what ifs...
